24 Hour Hazwoper

29 CFR 1910.120 (e) (3) (iii) states: Workers regularly on site who work in areas which have been monitored and fully characterizes indicating that exposure are under permissible exposure limits and published exposure limits where respirators are not necessary, and the characterization indicates that there are no health hazards or the possibility of an emergency developing, shall receive a minimum of 24 hours of instruction off the site.

The course includes:

  • Overview of regulatory standards

  • Employer/employee rights and responsibilities under OSHA

  • Explanation of relevant chemical exposures to hazardous substance monitoring

  • Site Hazards

  • Elements of an effective site safety and health plan

  • Levels of PPE selection and demonstration of proper PPE use maintenance, and storage

  • Hazard control strategies and safe work practices

  • demonstration of decontamination procedures

Participants will receive:

  • A comprehensive course manual

  • Certification of completion with pocket card

  • Continuing education unite (CEUs)
